A doctor (either M.D. or D.O) that has completed at least a 3 year long pediatric residency after medical school which has specialized in the care of infants, children, teens and young adults.
What’s the difference between a pediatrician and a family practice physician who does pediatrics?
Training and experience. While family physicians study and care for illnesses throughout people’s life spans, pediatricians specialize in only children.
